Tom and Ali are the authors of the best-selling cookbook, The Whole Life Nutrition Cookbook, with over 40,000 copies sold. They have five beautiful children and enjoy organic gardening, wild harvesting, food preserving, and cooking together as a family.
Both Tom and Ali graduated from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. Tom received his Master's of Science in Nutrition and Ali received her Bachelor's of Science in Nutrition. Ali created Whole Life Nutrition as a personal chef service in Seattle that served many families with her delicious, healthy cooking. Just before their second daughter was born they moved to Bellingham, WA and established Whole life Nutrition as a nutritional counseling service and nutrition/cooking education service.
In the Spring of 2004, Tom discovered that he was gluten intolerant. Years of health issues began to resolve as he cut gluten out of his diet. On a mission to help others, he buried himself in research and now speaks across the United States and Canada on the biochemical interactions within our body and their relationship to our diet. Specifically related to gluten, Celiac disease, nutritional deficiencies, epigenetics, and the wisdom in plants.
This blog is here to show you (with lots of delicious photos) that eating real, whole foods is doable, fun, and enjoyable! The recipes here are kids tested and kid approved.
