Watermelon-Lime Slushies (sugar-free)

We've had a few hot days here lately in the pacific Northwest! My children and I created this super simple slushie recipe using fresh watermelon the other day. They wanted me to share the recipe with you so you could make it too! Once you make this version I hope you try it with other types of fresh fruit as well....it makes the perfect, refreshing summer afternoon treat.

This recipe would be suitable to enjoy during our Elimination Diet. If you haven't seen our new book.....then check it out today. I created plenty of super satisfying, tasty recipes that are gluten, dairy, egg, corn, soy, nut, nightshade, yeast, and citrus-free! Many of the recipes are grain-free, legume-free, and low-FODMAP as well.

What a great recipe to kick off summer, it looks so refreshing!

Thank you so much for your beautiful blog!

I just have a question about your elimination diet. I have been considering looking into the GAPS diet as a gut healing effort and I was just wondering if you might know how your program compares with that?

Thank you!
Becky

This looks delicious!!!

BTW- I am LOVING your book, I've made so many of your recipes and they've all turned out just perfect!!!!!

XO,
Cassidy

This reminds me of another summer cooler I used to make with watermelon. I would freeze the watermelon and add a little yogurt for creaminess when I blended it. I'm going to give this a try with frozen watermelon and skip the ice cubes. Sounds yummy and refreshing on a hot day!

Looks yummy. I can't wait to it!

As an aside note- a friend was telling me you should not feed your child watermelon and milk together as it could cause a chemical reaction inside their digestive system. Do you know if their is any science to support this theory?
